Stanley Barkan has a way with him that tends to get the best out of people and out of words. Now, however, I wonder whether or not he has gone too far. With the Polish version of his Under the Apple Tree, I feel that his eloquence and sensibility have been carried over, to see that it still tastes like a macintosh or like Old Scratch's Granny Smith. But ever if, it will be pleasurable.
