1 Thabit Jones, Peter Poems from a Cabin on Big Sur
Merrick, New York, USA Cross-Cultural Communications 2011 0893045756 / 9780893045753 First Hard Cover New Poetry Designed by Tchouki
"I love the poems' clarity of vision, this genuflecting before a life-affirming experience, part of the web-work of a world, so much in its purity, like that of the very dawn of Creation. The poems vary, both in length and in prosody, yet always with Peter's dual vision and sensibility: 'The man on Big Sur [observing] with the eyes of maturity, but [feeling] with the open heart of the boy on Kilvey.'" --Vince Clemente, from the Introduction

4 Thabit Jones, Peter & Barkan, Stanley H. The Colour of Saying: A Creative Writing Competition in Celebration of Dylan Thomas Anthology
Merrick, New York, USA & Swansea, Wales, UK Cross-Cultural Communications & The Seventh Quarry Press 2014 089304928X / 9780893049287 First Paperback New Poetry Back Cover: Carolyn Mary Kleefeld
Organised by Anne Pelleschi and Peter Thabit Jones, in a collaboration with Stanley H. Barkan of Cross-Cultural Communications, New York, the aim of the competition was to encourage original and new pieces of creative writing to be based on Dylan Thomas’s poem ‘The Hunchback in the Park’. Responses to the poem ‘The Hunchback in the Park’ could be in poetry, prose-poem, prose, diary form, and letter form. We were particularly keen to encourage everyone, from children to those in their final years, including trauma or war victims, prisoners, abused wives or husbands, immigrants or refugees to a new country who do not speak the host country’s language. The categories were: 10 – 12 years of age at time of submission entry 13 – 16 years of age at time of submission entry 17 – 20 years of age at time of submission entry 21 – 24 years of age at time of submission entry 25 years of age and over at time of submission entry The judges of the English-language entries were: Peter Thabit Jones and Anne Pelleschi of Wales; Hannah Ellis of England (Dylan’s granddaughter); Stanley H. Barkan, Carolyn Mary Kleefeld, Maria Mazziotti Gillan, and John Dotson of America; Welsh language: Jim Jones (Jim Parc Nest, Archdruid of the Bards); with other-language judges chosen by Stanley H. Barkan and Peter Thabit Jones. As with most competitions, we received many poems that did not stick to the rules and, in our case, did not take ‘The Hunchback in the Park’ as their inspiration. They were about subjects that could not justify their being judged in any way. We also did not receive any entries for the ‘21-24 years of age category’ that were suitable for the anthology. This anthology has attempted to sift the best of those many poems that did tackle the subject. We hope you enjoy reading them. The remainder of the submissions that tackled the subject but did not make the anthology will appear in phases on www.dylandowntheups.org.uk, which will be organised by Anne Pelleschi. Our thanks to all of you who entered the competition.
